William Burroughs was such a narcissist. What did he ever inspire aside from anti-establishment posturing, bad writing, heroin addiction and spousal abuse? Ohhh, "I'm the most iconoclastic beatnik." Whoopee. Like Burroughs didn't wear Levis and drink coffee.
I am not sure what he aspired to because I never met the guy, but I don't think it was anti-establishmentism (word? I just wade it up) because dude was in those Nike commercials.
